Description | 1-Lead performing design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience. 2. Lead preparing layout and details portions of projects using schematic layout by the designer. May be assigned responsibility for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified. 3. Lead providing drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings. 4. Lead researching design options and document findings. 5. Lead creating written reports of design brief, findings and recommendations on performance analysis. 6. Lead reviewing shop drawings. 7. Lead developing probable construction cost estimates for the projects within the department. 8. Direct and supervise other Designers/Drafters activities. 9. Lead coordinate work with other disciplines 10. Lead handling routine contract administration. 11. Lead using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents. 12. Lead attending and participating in client and design team meetings. 13. Lead performing field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project area. 14. Lead organizes, draft, and coordinate technical documents. |
