The Duty Manager is responsible for supervising and ensuring high productivity of staff in the store. He works in partnership with the Store Manager to achieve maximum sales and margin, controlling shrinkage, planning and monitoring of inventory management, etc. •Demonstrate the ability to efficiently and effectively operate the store in the absence of the Store Manager. •Support the Store Manager in implementing company programs and execute action plans that meet sales, operational and organizational objectives. •Execute opening and closing store procedures including paperwork to company standards. •Prepare daily agenda; delegate and follow up on tasks. •Develop staff through coaching, training, reward and recognition. •Provide direction to the team during their shift to maintain the appropriate operations of the store. •Make sure that merchandise is always presented neatly and that items are priced correctly. •Ensure that the products and goods which are in store are fully satisfying the needs of the customer. •Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that employees also provide the same level of service.
•Bachelor Degree preferably in Business Management. •5 years of experience as Section Manager in General Merchandise or minimum 3 years of experience as Department Head General Merchandise. •Ability to effectively develop others to the next level. •Strong operations experience in receiving, stock and inventory as well as front-end management. •Strong interpersonal, motivational, communication and organizational skills. •Strong leadership skills.
