Description | -Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. -Assigning names and identification numbers (IDs) to network users and groups. -Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems. -Assigning names and addresses to each computer and device on the network. -Install, setup, and monitor local area network (LAN). -Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. -Network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support). |
Qualifications | -Good knowledge of servers and desktop products. - Good knowledge of setting up remote access for users. - Good knowledge of Windows, Mac books& Mac products. - Knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies. - Ability to support networked printers and photocopiers. - Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously. - Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts. |
