| Description | Is responsible for the operations of Rigs communication including but not limited to the VHF, teletype, facsimile machine, public address system, and intercom system in accordance with the requirements of the normal international practices and the company rules and regulations - Duties: 1) Under the direction of the senior tool pusher, maintains rig communications with the shore base, supply vessels, helicopters and other stations. 2) Monitors distress and calling frequencies as required. 3) Monitors designated private channels. 4) Operates a broad range of communication equipment including HF, UHF, VHF, computer terminals, and facsimile machines. |
