Description
Primary Objectives:

• To assume management responsibility for well services function in the field. This includes management of personnel and services provided from the wire line workshops and ensuring well service activities are carried out safely with minimum loss of Production and at optimum cost.
• The responsibility of the advisor extends to a wide range of surface and subsurface activities, covering various onshore and offshore wells.
• The WSA will be involved .in direct or indirect or supplying technical advice on related Issues.

Operations:

The following tasks will be under the responsibility the WSA during his work in the field:

• Run and supervise selected well service operations jobs, including coil tubing and other well intervention jobs.
• Prepare, test completion assemblies in line workshop and attend running of same in.
• To ensure that is properly maintained an available for wire line activities. This includes W/L Winches, Power Packs, Hole Tools, and Pressure Equipment etc.
• To ensure that regular preventive maintenance procedures for W/L units, W/L equipment. Xmas tree's and associated equipment are followed up and carried out in due time.
• To review rig less work over programs and inspect service companies equipment prior to job implementation.
• To train Company Supervisors in the various aspects of well servicing work, especially planning and failure analysis. Also to provide expert advice to supervisors and crews to improve work practices and solving problems.
• To develop preventative maintenance proposals in line with existing standards and good oil field practice.
• To ensure that all services are performed in a safe manner the required standard, according good oil field practice and that materials and equipment supplied will be free from defects and suitable for its intended purpose.
• To ensure al/ pressure control equipment (e.g. Wire Line Lubricators, B.O.P's, Stuffing Boxes, Well Head Cross over's, and temporary pipe work (chiksans) including flexible hoses are NDT and pressure test.
• To ensure that all cranes and associated lifting and shall are inspected and certified before use.
• Supervising directly all critical activities, including critical well intervention activities (e.g. fishing).
• To ensure that sufficient spare parts are held to allow all types and quantities of equipment to a serviced at the required intervals.
• To ensure that a/l equipment experiencing stress il1 service (e .g. winches, depth indicators, Martin-Decker cells, chains... etc.), are included in the test and inspection programs.

Planning:

The following tasks will be under the responsibility of the WSA during his work in the field:

• Review of ESP equipment inventory and assisting in logistical handling with Drilling and Cairo Support Group.
• Collecting and recording data on down whole equipment performance, to analyze problems, identifying root cause of failures and make recommendations to prevent further loss.
• To review the monthly well service plan for optimizing the use of wire line resources and minimizing deferred production.
• Provide Technical Supervision of Wire line Workshop for the repair and redressing of equipment.
• To record all activities and supervise keeping well files up till date of changes.
• To review the existing well service procedures and to provide updates of procedures reflecting current standard and work methods.
• To liaise with Drilling Department on testing and preparation of completion assemblies to ensure a trouble free operation once the well is handed back to Production Department.

Safety & Environment:

• To ensure the Company Loss Control and Safety Procedures are observed by all staff engaged in well service work.
• To ensure the environmental standards are observed by all staff and service companies engaged in well service work.
• To liaise together with the Production Supervisor, with PEO technologist during planning and implementing electric line and coiled operations ensuring optimum coordination and safe working conditions.
• The Contractor to supply the WSA with standard PPE (i .e. coverall, safety shoes and helmet).
Qualifications
• Candidate should have completed a technical education program.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in on-and offshore well services operations. Experience with gas lift system and work in highly deviated wells is essential.
• Experience in down hole completions.
• Experience in W/L unit operation.
• Experience in W/L operation trouble shooting
• Good knowledge of W/L tools and repair / maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of codes and standards for down hole tools as well as production wellheads and valves.
• Knowledge and understanding of sour gas W/L operations related safety procedures.
• Experience in the planning of wire line and well service activities.
• Good understanding of through tubing operations for reservoir stimulation and other well interventions.
• Experience in preparing W/L fishing programs and supervising fishing operations.
• Know/edge in coiled tubing operations.
• Knowledge of electric submersible pump (ESP) systems.
• Computer skills (MS-office products).
• Supervisory qualification to lead wire line and workshop crews.
• Good knowledge of English language (spoken and written).
• CV's must indicate training record and work history.
