| Description | ·Monitor and record instrument readings of gas volumes, temperatures, flows and pressures to ensure safe operation and quality product. Report deviations from standard so that corrective action can be taken. ·Conduct maintenance checks of the equipment by physical inspection whilst on shift to verify operational status and take appropriate corrective action as required. ·Fill in log sheet and prepare shift report for areas of specific responsibility for submission to Field Lead Operator. ·Inspect safety devices in area assigned, verify their placement, and test their operational status to establish their hazard/accident detection and warning capability in order to prevent fires and accidents. Report any hazards detected or incidents immediately. ·Review fire fighting checklist at the commencement of shift to ensure familiarity with procedures to facilitate timely and accurate emergency response activity. ·Prepare equipment for maintenance in accordance with standard operating procedures to minimize plant downtime. ·Perform housekeeping tasks in areas of responsibility to eliminate safety hazards and maintain a clean working environment. ·Follow up PTW activities within area of responsibilities and ensure familiarity with the system. ·Immediately report faults and defects within his area, and, where necessary, take first line emergency action to contain the situation. |
| Qualifications | -Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science. Or Technical Education. -From 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in oil /gas/ petrochemical/ fertilizer plant operation -Knowledge of DCS and SIS system operation. |
