• Coordinates and prioritizes day-to-day gift processing activities and ensures accurate processing and stewardship of gifts. Manages gift analysis and entry procedure and process daily gift batches in a timely and accurate fashion. • Responsible for the accurate processing of checks, credit cards and electronic funds transfers, stock gifts for unrestricted and restricted gifts. • Analyzes gifts and constituent data to determine appropriate types, campaigns, funds, appeals for each gift to be processed. Processes special handling of non-routine deposits. • Reconciles batches with advancement database (Fundal) and prepares batches for daily deposit. • Prepares deposits and appropriate batch documentation for the Controller’s Office, transmits information and works with that department to ensure the accurate exchange of information. • Communicates with Development Services Managers to ensure accurate processing of gifts, financial integrity and accuracy and to resolve technical problems or adjustments. • Coordinates monthly employee payroll deductions with Development Services Managers, reconciles batch, and makes monthly deposit. • Records donors’ pledges in advancement database and maintain campaign pledge files. • Tracks outstanding pledges and produces pledge reminder letters to donors and reports as appropriate. • Adjusts gifts and pledges as directed by the Development Services Managers. •
• Ability to learn the principles and practices of gift accounting and complex data entry codes and procedures quickly • Possesses good interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills and has the ability to work independently. • Ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining good relations with colleagues. • Ability to understand and follow directions and complex policies and procedures. • Commitment to the highest standards of customer service and professionalism. • Fluent in written and verbal English and Arabic. BA required • Extensive computer software experience including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of advancement database software. 30-40 wpm typing and 10-key skills. • Knowledge in general accounting principles, business communications, financial and statistical record-keeping techniques.

Assists in handling telephone calls and emails, as well as providing customer service to alumni and other constituents. • Remains up-to-date on current gift accounting issues by reading CASE publications, IRS regulations, pertinent auditors reports and subscribing to the fundsvcs listserv. • Assists the Director of Advancement Services, the Development Services Managers and the Associate Vice President for Development with special events and other duties as deemed necessary. Produces gift receipts and individualized acknowledgement letters for all gifts received in a timely and accurate fashion. • Prepares pledge reminders for signatures and mailing. • Updates biographical data in advancement database as provided by constituent’s information on checks and/or correspondence.
