Job Scope: To support the development of business strategies & brands from a consumer standpoint, thus facilitating the implementation of the Company operating model. The Consumer Insights Manager (CIM) is a key driver of the cultural transformation from a brand-centric to a consumer-centric organization. Accountabilities: Generate & contextualize Consumer & market insights & translate them into actionable business strategies & relevant innovation for adult smokers. Drive portfolio development & enhancements by identifying & capitalizing on consumer, market & societal trends & identifying long term opportunities. Together with the brand team participate in the coordination of new ideas within the funnel stage gate process up to Gate 1 & manage Post launch evaluation. For non-brand specific projects (“brand agnostic” ideas), continue supporting concept development beyond Gate 1, as required. Facilitate the cultural transformation from a brand centric to a consumer centric organization.
Qualifications: • University Degree in Marketing/Business/Social sciences • Minimum 5 - 8 years experience in business and consumer focus functions (marketing, research, strategic planning). Experience in sales strategy and trade marketing is a plus. Actively seek out concept and project knowledge, learning and best practices from other markets by liaising with other market based CIMs, PMI Brand Building and Market Research. Encourage and promote cross fertilization of ideas with key stakeholders locally and internationally. Establish a structured knowledge management process that harnesses consumer and market information to feed the insights generation and innovation processes Lead, guide and develop the market based Consumer Insights and Research function to: Market Research and specific Market Research Cluster as needed. Build dedicated consumer engagement force to address the growing demands of adult smokers and to ensure the best possible reach of PMI brands communication with an ultimate goal to achieve the positive Word of Mouth among the targeted adult smokers.
