| Description | Job purpose: To manage and administer the computerized information system including mid-range computers ,NT servers, internet firewall, e-mail server and local and wide area networks and update the website . Major duties : • Provide user guidance and first level support by assisting in problem resolution . • Coordinate the process of adding and updating information to the website of the organization ( for both the internet and the intranet ) • Liaising with various personnel content analyzing user feedback , promoting the site and evaluating the site effectiveness as a communications vehicle . • Maintain the website and timely update to reflect the organization progress and image . • Create prototypes and functional specifications for website design . • Maintain search engine optimization of website to ensure optimal browser rankings. • Research emerging technology to maintain the website ( for both the internet and the intranet ) • Research competitor and industry and other website to recommend updates and changes . • Maintain systems (Microsoft ) and network services (e.g DNS, active directory , wins, SMTP, Web, Print, terminal Server, Backup, Antivirus ) • Maintain desktop application and services (e.g Microsoft and Adob applications, Antivirus ) • Install, configure ,and maintain Microsoft server . • Create full backups of systems . • Troubleshoots laptops ,phone issues , web connectivity for PCs , Email MS Exchange problems ,DNS problems , |
| Qualifications | Candidates must have a minimum of university degree in computer science with certification for hardware and software support (server, desktops, printers and laptops) Should be certified system Engineers in server administration , network , infrastructure and massaging suites . a relevant advanced university degree ( masters or equivalent ) will be an added advantage . Candidates must have a minimum of five years experience with server hard ware installation and maintenance , server infrastructure ( space , power ,cooling ) maintenance and capacity planning and database application ( MYSQL, oracle, SQL server ) installation and basic maintenance . |
