Description

We are looking for a high Power/Expert Senior MySQL DBA who has extensive experience supporting large mission critical databases. Candidate must be strong with installation, upgrades, backup & recovery, Capacity planning and performance tuning. Our ideal candidate is a smart, energetic Senior DBA providing guidance, direction and technical expertise in the design, implementation and management multiple databases

Qualifications

Considered an Expert DBA.
Significant experience (8+ years) working as an DBA/Data Modeler with MySQL and MS Sql on UNIX and Windows platforms with high-availability requirements.
Extensive knowledge of My SQL Server (primarily) and MS SQL (secondarily)
4+ years. Expert-level knowledge of enterprise backup/restore mechanisms is required.
Expert in widely used MySQL technologies in a highly available, high-performance, and redundant environment.
Expert in Logical modeling and design and Physical modeling and design
Expert in MySQL database administration
Expert knowledge in tuning both MySQL databases and SQL required.
Advanced understanding of clustering and performance tuning
SQL Expertise and SQL query tuning
Experience supporting the design and administration of complex database structures.
