• Under the direction of the Associate Director the incumbent will: • Coordinate all appointments between STAs and faculty and ensure that faculty receive the appropriate service they require; • Coordinate the recruitment of all STAs which includes: vacancy announcements, interviews, training, evaluating and testing skills, hiring and continuous appraisals of performance; • Ensure that all STAs (both in CLT and LC) receive the appropriate training required in order to fulfill their tasks and obligations; • Coordinate the working hours of all STAs (both in CLT and LC) and ensure there is always availability of STAs to support faculty visiting CLT and all patrons visiting the LC; • Provide direct support to the CLT Director with all tasks requiring STA input or participation; • Provide support to the Associate Director with all tasks involved in managing the LC; and • Coordinate with all relevant LLT persons regarding the STA budget and the LC budget. • Coordinate and implement STA program marketing to faculty which includes: designing and distributing posters and leaflets, electronic posting of information and announcements related to STA program, etc. • Coordinating the collection and compilation of all data related to STA activities during the academic year, including end of semester evaluations of the STAs by faculty.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration (or relevant field) and three years of experience related to Instructional Technology • Three to five years experience assisting technology utilization in an educational environment • Excellent working knowledge of Blackboard is a plus • Experience in training faculty • Experience with web authoring and graphics software a plus • Excellent written and spoken English (Level 2) • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills • Research and data analyses skills • Basic knowledge of pedagogy is a plus • Experience in databases required • Very proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel PowerPoint, Access and Publisher • Potential to learn, use and adapt new software specifically connected with instructional technology
