| Description | •Use engineering principles to provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products. •Applying knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programming, and following machine, equipment and tooling manuals. •Determine training objectives & Schedule classes based on classroom and equipment availability. •Lecture class on safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment, following outline, handouts, and texts, and using visual aids, such as graphs, charts, videotape, and slides. • Directs and coordinates activities involved in operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. •Perform personnel functions, such as supervision of workers, technicians, and other engineers. •May evaluate installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. •Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew. •Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications & with optimum utilization. |
