Description	Role Purpose  The Testing Specialist will have immediate responsibility for: o Develop test strategy o Develop and design test specifications based on the functional requirements o Execute test procedures and update the test results o Report, track, and retest defects o Develop automated test suites o Develop and execute non functional tests Essence of Role/Key Accountabilities 1. Test strategy and specifications development  Ensure that a quality & test strategy is in place, and where necessary work with the relevant parties to define & document one  Lead the development and validation of system test plans, specifications, test scripts, test cases, test data etc. ensuring that they cover all aspects from initial specification through to delivery.  Validate externally produced test plans and mitigate any weakness to ensure products and services meet quality assurance standards.  Identify and report issues and risks.  Provide the technical Go/No Go decision 2. Test Execution  Execute the software based on the plans and test documents  Create execution records and update the status according to the results 3. Defects management  Accurate and objective reporting of problems.  Retest defects when they are resolved  Execute regression buckets  Suggest ways to reduce the number of defects and improve productivity.
Qualifications	 BSC in Engineering or Computer Science  Minimum 8 years of working experience in software testing  Very good understanding of theories and procedures about Software Testing  Experience in any of the following test management tools is a must o HP Quality Center o IBM Rational Test Manager/Quality Manager  Experience in any of the following functional test automation tools is a must: o HP QuickTest Professional o IBM Rational Functional Tester  Experience in any of the following performance testing tools is a must: o HP Performance Center o IBM Rational Performance Tester  Experience in any of the following security testing tools is a must: o HP Security Center o IBM Rational AppScan  ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing is a must  ISEB/ISTQB Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing is a must  ISEB Practitioner Certificate or ISTQB Advanced Certificate for Test Manager is preferable
