| Description | Installing, configuring and maintaining Unix and Linux workstation and servers - Perform software installation and upgrades to Unix operating system and layered software packages and maintain them in accordance with established policies, procedures and SLA - Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum level of performance - Ensure Unix and Linux workstation/servers integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions - Ensure Data/media recoverability by implementing schedule of system backups and Database archive operations - Conducts routine hardware and software audits of Unix and Linux workstations/servers for compliance with established standards policies, procedures, and configurations guidelines. |
| Qualifications | Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field - 4-6 years experience as a Unix/Linux System Engineer - Demonstrate a strong initiative and willingness to learn new skills. - Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills - Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. |
