–Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation,electronic mail, and operating systems. –Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve incidents. – Provide day-to-day technical and functional expertise to end-users. –Specify users and user access levels for each segment of supported application(s). – Coordinate and administer User Acceptance of implemented changes and service requests. –Register and clarify received incidents and undertake an immediate effort to successfully restore a failed service as swiftly as possible in order to minimize service breaches. – Escalate open incidents that have not been resolved within the specified timeframe to expert Technical support groups. – Process service requests and keep end-users informed about their incidents’ status at agreed intervals. –Analyze important service performance and historical incidents and engage in Pro-active Support to avoid interruptions. – Collaborate on cross-team and cross-service technical issues by working with resources from other groups as needed to resolve customer incidents. – Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor(s) within the physical constraints of the job.
– 1- 2 years of Experience as IT support role predominantly supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite applications. – Experience as application support role in one of the following areas: • Freight Forwarding • Logistics • Supply Chain Management – Strong Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. –Knowledge of basic IT concepts in the following areas; • Microsoft Windows 2000 /XP workstation • Microsoft Office Suite • Microsoft Outlook support experience • Internet Explorer • Database Administration – Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge. –Very good command of English.
