Description
• Accurately measure and value works in progress in conjunction with other Commercial staff, collate the information and compile the main contract valuation. • Assist the Senior Commercial staff with the preparation of cash-flow forecasts, sub-contract final account forecasts and the like. • Identify changes between ‘tender’ and ‘construction’ design information. • Accurately measure and value design and construction changes in conjunction with other Commercial staff, collate the information and issue the same to the Engineer/Client • Investigate events that have the potential to cause a delay to the Main Contract works. • Prepare and submit of potential delay notifications under the Main Contract. • In conjunction with other Commercial staff accurately measure and value a variety sub-contract works and raise payment certificates. • Determine the authenticity any claims and/or variations submitted by sub-contractors, manage and agree the same and settle final accounts.
Qualifications
• Degree qualified in a commercial or engineering related discipline • In excess of six years’ experience, preferably in a multinational company. • A good understanding of the fundamental principles of building and civil engineering technology • Excellent commercial acumen • Very good command of the English language both written and spoken • Good understanding of contract law • IT literate • An appreciation of the effect of a delay upon the program me. • Ability to work under pressure and priorities workload • Full driving license and ability to travel throughout region
