Description	Role Purpose Performs the typical role of a team leader; leading PS design projects end to end, supporting and coordinating all the activities of system analysis Essence of Role/Key Accountabilities Deliverables • Evolve all relevant end-to-end design documentation (TOP, HLD, etc.) for PS data services to meet capability roadmap for Vodafone Projects. • Work with Core/NSU and other departments to ensure designs are compliant with VF Group strategy and supported by all key related departments • Work with other VF internal departments (i.e. R&D, Product Management, etc.) and external standards bodies to ensure all mandatory and other agreed PS Data requirements are built into the designs • Develop requirements and schedules for IREG and TADIG testing of data services on the Global SIM range • Troubleshooting GPRS and IP logs • Work with others to develop innovative concepts for routing of data in country • Document the designs including architecture, call flows, network configuration and use cases • Progress designs into delivery by suppliers • Provide hands-on assistance with delivery as required • Ensure solutions are suitable for operation in a telecoms/IT production environment. Project Management • Assign and prioritize roles and responsibility to team members to complete project within constraints of client budget and approved quote • Track all project progress, expenses, updates and communicate with the design team • Serve as project coordinator
Qualifications	• 5 + years of work experience in Telecoms and related industries, providing full end-to-end coverage of delivering technical solutions. • Experience in designing, implementing and optimizing the packet switching components of core network, systems and platforms. Technical skills: • Extensive experience with the following technologies o GSM based Mobile Packet Core – GPRS Session & Mobility Management. o Voice over IP – SIP, H323, MGCP o Data Networking in LAN/WAN environment– Ethernet, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ATM, Frame Relay etc. o Radius o Diameter o DNS o SNMP based Network Management • Extensive experience with the following platforms o GGSN o SGSN o DNS o Firewalls o IP routers/switches o Content switched • Strong knowledge of architecture principles and systems integrations is a plus.
