| Description | The Measuring Equipment Engineer’s job is to calibrate and repair a wide range of electrical and electronic measuring equipment to component level and experience with fiber optical equipment would be an advantage. It is likely that you will have 2nd and 3rd line maintenance and repair experience. Main duties and responsibilities of the Calibration and Repair Engineer role include: * Calibration of measuring equipment * Repair of instruments of any description to assembly or component level as appropriate in accordance with company procedures * Calibrate and repair equipment on customer sites when necessary * Completion of necessary paperwork * Ensure work completed within timescales and to company quality requirements |
| Qualifications | The successful candidate should be educated in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and have previous experience of working in an electronic calibration and repair environment. Computer literacy is essential along with the ability to calibrate and repair electrical and electronic measuring equipment to component level and work to tight deadlines. Previous experience of working with fiber optical equipment would be advantageous. The candidate should have a logical approach to problem solving, good communication skills, be able to work well within a team and have a flexible approach to working hours. |
