Description
• Installation, removal and repair of radio equipment as required.
• Preventative and corrective maintenance on all types of radio equipment.
• End user support of radio equipment.
• Bench checking, fault-finding and repair of all types of radio equipment and systems to component level.
• Vendor management with communication service providers as required.
• Maintenance and repair of all SC and Southern Sector TV assets in both the SC TV station and at approved end user locations.
• Maintenance and installation of fiber optic and copper (RF and coax) cabling as required.
• Travels to remote sites to repair and conduct preventative maintenance as required.
• Maintains record of maintenance services.
• In absence of the Networks/Telephone Technician, maintenance of telephone systems, to include; IP PBX, telephone cabling and end devices.
• Performs emergency and out of hours duties as required based on a rotating on-call shift schedule maintained in the section.
•Any other duties as required.

Qualifications
• Five years experience in one or more of the following fields: HF communications equipment, VHF land mobile communications equipment, UHF/Microwave with frequency division multiplexing systems, telephone central office (inside and outside plant) and system analysis.
• Familiarity with circuit diagrams.
• Familiarity with circuit diagrams.
