Description
Participate in the purchasing/production planning process to ensure materials availability when needed.
Implement monthly purchasing plan with particular attention to urgent delivery items.
Establish close relationship with all local suppliers.
Ensure supply of materials within schedules and quality specs, through continuous follow-up Q.C and suppliers.
Liaise with suppliers to arrange for disposal of obsolete or surplus stocks and settle terms with them.
Consult with marketing on the usage of alternative packing if specified materials are not available on time and/or if slow moving or obsolete items could be used as replacement.
Analyze suppliers performance on a yearly basis (in terms of supply reliability, quality compliance and response time) to decide on distribution of business to them.
Submit monthly reports to the Logistics manager comprising the purchasing activities.
Review & sign purchase orders for approval by Product Supply Manager & Operations Director.

business or Mechanical Engineering background strongly preferred
Experience
· 3-5 years experience in the field of Supply Chain
