Percentage of Travel Required: 10%
Location: Maadi, Cairo, Egypt

Job Summary The role of the Senior DSP Systems Engineer will be to design and enhance digital signal processing algorithms for wireless communications systems.
Key responsibilities include:
*Designing and simulating new signal processing algorithms using MATLAB
*Assist in implementing signal processing algorithms in fixed-point C code
*Serve as technical hub for junior team members
*Develop and document novel signal processing ideas
*Review work of junior team members
*Contribute to wireless standards bodies: create written reports, collect detailed information, make technical contributions and white papers
*Assist implementation teams in porting the DSP solutions onto dedicated hardware
*Work with testing and implementation team on fixing performance bottlenecks
*Stay up-to-date on latest trends in the field of wireless communications
Candidates must also possess one or more of the following:
*Ability to understand and formulate mathematical, statistical, and computational models
*Strong written and oral presentation skills, including ability to document algorithms and methods, publish peer-reviewed articles, and present at conferences
*Experience with firmware or software design
*Strong C and MATLAB programming skills
Desired Qualifications:
*PhD in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of industrial experience in physical layer design
*Familiarity with modern wireless communication waveforms and receivers
*Familiarity with modern commercial wireless standards such as WiMAX and LTE
*Experience with embedded software design Experience in designing for resource constrained applications and adverse environments
*Expertise with MATLAB/Simulink, SystemVue or other signal analysis packages
Travel Requirements:
May be required to travel to other company locations
