Junior Support Engineer
Provides technical support and periodic preventive maintenance activities related to point of Sales systems products (mainly POS hardware) located at customer sites (Hotels & Restaurants across Egypt). •Troubleshoots, Supports & Repairs POS hardware at customer sites. •Performs periodic preventive maintenance fulfilling the agreed maintenance plan or assignments. •Ensure that all performed support and maintenance activities are done within time frame outlined in Service Level Agreement &/or according to ACT’s service desk procedures time frame. •Provides a prompt update to all support management systems, like: FC Client, CRM,.., etc. •Assists to ACT-POS workshop team in repairing defective hardware when needed. •Responsible for maintaining the highest quality Service Delivery, providing problem solving and troubleshooting while maximizing customer satisfaction. •Acts as an Assistant &/or Backup for team members regarding any pending issues, calls &/or assignments. •Maintain and apply all work related procedures and documentation. •Ensures self development in POS products software according to the agreed development plan. •Continuously provide management with timely feedback and reports that includes but not limited to analysis of work progress in addition to suggestions for improvement and further development. •Determines critical issues, potential hardware &/or corruption problems appropriately and performs appropriate escalation, when needed.
•a Bachelor degree of engineering (Communication, Electronics or Computer Science). •Fresh Graduate or 1 year experience in a similar or related field. •Good command of English language. •Experience in dealing with Oracle (PL/SQ L, Forms, Reports builder), Crystal reports, Windows 2003 Server. •Very good knowledge of hardware repair, circuit diagrams, PC & servers support. •Proficient in current Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems •Greater Cairo resident is preferable. •Ability to travel inside Egypt as well as oversees whenever required by business needs. •Very good communication skills with a friendly customer oriented manner. •Very Good Time management, Presentation, negotiation, analytic & Problem Solving Skills. •Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while handling multi tasks at a time. •Availability for any emergency Situations 24/7 including readiness to travel inside Egypt.
